Resume / Cover Letter Critique
We are delighted to have Mr. Neal Vachhani (MIT S.M. '05), Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, give a short presentation on how to craft a powerful resume and cover letter for consulting, as well as provide one-on-one personal resume and cover letter critique.
Date: Saturday May 2nd Time: Presentation will begin at 10am followed by one-on-one review (Shortlisted participants will be notified of precise time-slots)
RSVP is STRICTLY REQUIRED for this event. The presentation will be open to 20 participants, and there will be 10 slots for one-on-one review. Since the time Mr. Vachhani has for personal critique is extremely limited, we strongly encourage those seeking more general feedback on rough drafts of resumes and cover letters to make an appointment with the MIT Careers Office where more time is dedicated to each individual.
Please RSVP for the presentation HERE: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=Y1fe4EcW9QT_2b56VRoPTRLg_3d_3d

Recent Event:
Insight/Bridge Mixer
McKinsey and BCG organize short 2-3 days long consulting workshops, called 'Insight' and 'Bridge to BCG'
respectively, every summer for graduate (non-MBA) students. These
workshops provide a great opportunity to find out more about the
consulting career and the firms by interacting and networking with the
consultants in these firms in person. The immense potential
value-addition these events have for graduate students looking at a
career in consulting makes the workshops highly sought after, and the
selection procedure highly competitive.
The Consulting Club at
MIT (CCM) would like to invite you to a Social Mixer to come and
interact with current graduate students who attended one or both of
these sessions last summer, and find out more about the application
procedure and how to ace it. The event details are below:
Time: 5.30pm-7pm April 22, 2009 Venue: MIT Room 66-160
Make the Leap
The CCM recently organized an event - "Make the Leap" with more than 60 participants. This event brought together a panel of MIT
graduate students who have received offers from consulting companies to
discuss making the transition from graduate school to life as a
consultant. Discussion included the
application process, interviews, and career pros/cons.
